The Racetrack in Phase One of development
(1/12/23) Phase Two is underway and includes over-pass grading, additional gaurd rails and overhead lighting. Phase Three is gathering momentum. The Website cameras are in house. The "blue tooth" lap system is running and the track computer is in testing. Phase Four will begin the landscape and diorama. Notes: The 24th scale "Sprint Car" division rules are coming soon. This division is a "scratch built" project. The dimensions are available here. See the Gallery... Latest Progress Report - (4/2/23) Our comissioner Louis Seweel, has posted the latest diorama changes in the Gallery. We would like to remind you the new monitor for laps and times will be hung on the wall and activated for the next race session. We are in need of some diorama grass. We would also like to add the Carerra race fans to the grandstand. If anyone would like to donate to the cause, contact Gary. Next meeting we will discuss car magnet rules. Be there!! |
(3/15/2023)
The scoring system is in-house and tested...see the Gallery. Point system rules. We added the Pioneer Legend division and now have several cars in the field. We plan a trip to Tailspin this weekend to see what they offer in Legend Cars. Gary added a 32 inch "smart TV" to the layout. This will give us wide screen scoring. The sound system is on-line now. Track changes that we discussed at last meeting/race weekend are now complete. The "lane changes" are complete. The pit changes are in order. Who is going to step up?? Volunteers are needed to help with track maintenance...call Church or Gary (Lou Sweel). Projects: We still need additional lighting and help wiring in the Logitech Webcams (USB extenders) Church is handling the website and the live web-stream setup. The 24 inch extension project has been placed on hold for 60 days. We need a Volunteer to design and build a "monthly trophy". (4/3/2023) The diorama has begun. All are welcome to do so...select a section of the layout and build a simple race track scene using 1:32nd or 1:24th scale materials, figurines and scenery. We need a pit area, a pit shack, a winner circle, a flagman tower(and flag man), a weigh-in area and technical bay. Keep in ind we do have a set of digital ounce-scales for you to use when adjusting your car. Help wanted: Need a "content manager" for the website...Church needs pictures and input. Become a sponsor: Slot Car Vendors, Hobby Shops and Regional Small Business welcome to apply. |
